Recipe Notes
- Old Fashion Oats: Not quick cooking. If you do use quick cooking oats, the consistency of your bread may be different, because, they are finer in texture
- Plain Greek Yogurt: If you don’t have any on hand, you can also use sour cream.
- Pumpkin puree: Not pumpkin pie mix!
- Pumpkin pie spice: If you don’t have any pumpkin pie spice on hand, cloves or nutmeg are a good substitute.
- Flour: Both white and whole wheat. You can replace whole wheat with additional white flour, if desired.
- You don’t have to use your electric mixer for this bread. A whisk and silicone spatula will work just fine for mixing. Just be sure to only mix your batter until it’s combined.
- The nutrition information below is based on the ingredients in the recipe card. If you make any substitution listed above, these numbers may differ.

These look so good.
I’d have this for breakfast any day. Thank you for bringing it to FF.
Is it absolutely necessary to use 2 kinds of flour? Can this be made w/either one flour or the other? Would King Arthur flour work both ways? I’m drooling!
Hi Angela- I have used just white for this bread and a combo of white/wheat for it. However, I haven’t tried it with just wheat flour, so, I can’t be sure how it would work out. Let me know what works for you..enjoy!
I don’t like pumpkin but I bet this tastes yummy!! Thanks so much for linking up at the #UnlimitedMonthlyLinkParty 6. Shared.
Thanks for the party Dee!
This looks good, without being overly sweet. I like that it contains oatmeal and chocolate.
Thank you 🙂
