Stay cool and make some homemade ice cream. 🍨 👍

Ingredients List:

  • Whipping cream
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Blackberries
  • Dark chocolate
  • Water

No Sweetened Condensed Milk on Hand? Make it homemade!

Blackberries: You can use fresh or frozen. However, you will be pureeing them, so, it would be best to let the frozen version defrost a bit beforehand.

Dark Chocolate: You can simply chop up a dark chocolate bar or you can use dark chocolate chips. Keep in mind, the chips are larger. If desired, you can use regular/mini chocolate chips.

How to Make:

  • First, mix blackberries in blender or food processor until pureed. Add in water and mix until liquefied. Drain blackberry puree through mesh sleeve to remove seeds. This is totally optional. If you like seeds, you can simply leave them in.
  • Next, whisk whipping cream until firm peaks form. Don’t beat too long..you will get butter!
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk and pureed blackberries.
  • Take approx 1/4 cup of the whipped cream and gently mixed it into the sweetened condensed milk mixture. Then, fold the remaining whipped cream into the mixture. Fold in chopped chocolate.
  • Spread into a freezer safe container and cover. Place in the freezer for at least 6 hours before serving.
