Ingredients Needed

  • Refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • Sugar
  • Ground cinnamon

Ingredients Notes

Cinnamon Rolls

I used two 12 oz packages of Pillsbury original cinnamon roll dough with icing. However, you can go with your favorite brand. You can also use the “flaky” version, if desired. But, those are larger in size and you may not need as many of the rolls to fill your pan.

How to Make It

  • First, spray a 9 inch round pan/pie plate with non stick cooking spray.
  • Next, remove the individual cinnamon rolls from the packages. Take each roll and cut it into 4 equal size pieces.
  • Then, add the ground cinnamon and sugar into a large plastic storage bag I used a gallon size bag. (ex: Ziploc bag).
  • Working in batches, add the cinnamon roll pieces into the bag and shake to coat. Place each piece into the prepared pan, layering the pieces as you go. Continue until all the dough pieces are in the pan.
  • Bake.
  • Once it’s done, let it cool for 10-15 minutes. Then, top with the icing from the package.

Storage

  • Keep any leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator. This is best eaten within a day.
