Recipes Notes

Can I Use Any Brand of Cake Mix?

Yes. Any chocolate variety or brand will work. Be sure to stick with a standard size box ( 15-18 oz) for the recipe to work properly.

Can I Use Homemade Applesauce?

Sure! I use the store bought stuff for mine, but, if you have homemade in your fridge, it will surely work. I do recommend using an applesauce with a smooth texture for best results.

Do I Have to Make a Bundt Cake?

No. This batter will work for a 9 x 13 pan, 2- 9 x 9 round pans or 24 cupcakes. Use the back of the cake mix box for baking times.

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup, chocolate chips

For Glaze:

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-10 inch bundt pan, generously.

  5. Let the cake cool for an hour before adding glaze.
