Mini Chocolate Whoopie Pies! Soft chocolate whoopie pies filled with a creamy vanilla buttercream in mini form! A fun and very yummy treat.

We love whoopie pies around here. Love them.
What’s a whoopie pie? Two round, soft cake- like “cookies” that are sandwiched together with a creamy frosting filling. They are gooood.
Whoopie pies are traditionally a chocolate cake with a marshmallow filling. But, they can be made with a whole bunch of different flavor varieties.

Ingredients Needed:
- Flour + Salt + Baking soda
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Butter
- Egg + Vanilla
- Sugar: white & brown
- Milk
- Plain Greek Yogurt
No Greek Yogurt on Hand? You can substitute it with sour cream, cottage cheese or plain mayonnaise. However, these were made with the plain Greek yogurt and the nutritional value in the recipe may differ if you make a sub.
Want to Make Traditional Marshmallow Filling: Find the recipe here.
The Size of Your Whoopie Pies: These are a “mini” version. When scooping the batter, only take about a tablespoon in size. You can make these bigger, if you desire. Just remember to increase your baking time slightly.
Sugar: I used a combination of 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. If you have a limited supply of either, you can make use of any combination of both to equal 1 cup. Coconut palm sugar will also work in these!
Leftovers: If by chance, you have any 😉 Be sure to store them in the refrigerator.
Enjoy-
