Recipe Notes & Tips

Can I Use Flour Tortillas for These?

Yes. However, you may need to fry them a little longer and you will have slightly thicker chips. I do recommend using corn tortillas, as they have better flavor for chips.

What Kind Of Seasoning Could I Use?

Salt, dry taco seasoning, garlic, chili powder or for a sweet twist, cinnamon-sugar. You can even leave them plain, if desired. If you are going to season them, sprinkle the chips right after they are done frying.

Can I Bake or Air Fry These?

Yes. Baking instructions. Air fryer instructions.

💡 Note About Oil

  • Use a thermometer ( see recipe card) to regulate the temperature of your oil. You want the oil to be anywhere from 340-350 degrees. If your oil is too hot or not hot enough, your chips will either be burnt/stiff or won’t be very crispy.
