Homemade Tortilla Chips
Homemade tortilla chips are crispy snacks made right in your kitchen using corn tortillas. You can customize them with seasonings like salt, chili powder, or garlic for an easy snack. Enjoy on their own or with your favorite dip.

Just a few ingredient:
- Corn tortillas
- Oil
- Salt ( or your favorite seasoning)

Recipe Notes & Tips
Can I Use Flour Tortillas for These?
Yes. However, you may need to fry them a little longer and you will have slightly thicker chips. I do recommend using corn tortillas, as they have better flavor for chips.
What Kind Of Seasoning Could I Use?
Salt, dry taco seasoning, garlic, chili powder or for a sweet twist, cinnamon-sugar. You can even leave them plain, if desired. If you are going to season them, sprinkle the chips right after they are done frying.
Can I Bake or Air Fry These?
Yes. Baking instructions. Air fryer instructions.
💡 Note About Oil
- Use a thermometer ( see recipe card) to regulate the temperature of your oil. You want the oil to be anywhere from 340-350 degrees. If your oil is too hot or not hot enough, your chips will either be burnt/stiff or won’t be very crispy.
